the United State’s founding fathers overthrew an empire using militias “organized” into an army

So that is why the New Republic is featured so little in The Mandalorian. They were saving them for their own show, where we will see what they were up to.

Actually, the strangest aspect is that it apparently takes place during the current pandemic. The series is already better when it exists outside of the real, current world—which also makes Ronald having a cell phone and video calls with his mother feel out of place, in a bad way—but it’s actively bad in mentioning

the Darksaber was created over 1000 years prior to the OT by Tarre Vizsla, the first (and, as far as we know, only) Mandalorian Jedi.

Kristen Bell was on Deadwood. Just saying.

Of course you can. Rather easily too.

A civilization would surely have to had mastered gravity control to be able to achieve that.

She was being sarcastic, throwing the lie he has been telling people back at his face.

On other news, congratulations to those who called it after episode 2 that Christina and William are the same person.

I don’t think “trans” is the appropriate term for Yahima. Her dialogue (as translated by Tic) implies Yahima was born intersex.

Judging by the synopsis for episode five, they’re going to be using William for that:

They didn’t recast, which is why it is such a freaky coincidence how much alike they ended up looking.

Given that the love interest in this one is played by the same actress who played the love interest in the previous film when she was a kid, they didn’t cast her based on the resemblance. I am putting my money on “Samara Weaving’s character possesses the love interest to get out of Hell”.

Well, when I see a character in fiction behaving in a noticeably dissimilar manner to their peers in the same work, I tend to look for explanations.

Nevertheless, I think you can agree with me that Caleb’s behavior vis a vis the heroes differed significantly from that of his peers (even if his goals and methods were just as nefarious) and the book never addresses that point.

I disagree with this for the cases of good movies that are themselves adaptations of existing IP.

Of course I agree he was using them and exploiting their situation.

I’m finding that turning Caleb into Christina was an inspired change.

To paraphrase Red from Overly Sarcastic Productions... Lovecraft hated anything that wasn’t his hometown of Providence, Rhode Island.

I just looked up the HBO website, and this article about the casting news for the shows says...
