I watched this movie for the first time when I was 8 years old. I had read in the newspaper (the cartoons were on the same section as the entertainment articles) that this movie was “one of the greatest of all time” and would be airing that night. I asked my parents permission to stay up past my bedtime and I watched

Friday, March 20—Donizetti’s La Fille du Régiment

But with any luck it will not be as disappointing.

Qualified majorities for fundamental changes in something as important as a Constitution are not a bad thing.

Jackson’s trained killer gets back to bloody basics because his idiot nephew gets in trouble with his former employers, and he has to either murder him, or bail him out.

And they did it without Michael Bay.

This goes all the way to Blade Trinity turning the skinny dude from Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place into Ryan Reynolds.

Also, I really want to give a shout out to the special effects team, for making Tom Welling look like a giant when standing next to Jon Cryer. That must have been at least half of the show’s budget.

Would have been a bad case of presentism.

Was it my imagination or did the camera spent an unusual amount of time focusing on Jessica’s posterior?

It might be semantics, one problem with them declaring themselves a “sanctuary city” is that a place with a little over 2,000 people hardly qualifies as a city to begin with.

I don’t know.

One thing that I loved about this episode and that the Star Trek shows all failed to do, was showing the Union’s civilian government actually being the ones in charge.

I don’t fully understand why Father Blackwood tried to kill the whole church. Sometimes this show really seems to struggle with figuring out exactly how evil its bad guys are.

I do like that the show dedicated and entire, seemingly purposless scene where Talla shows off her holophonor. Maybe at some point we’ll get an episode where she strikes a bargain with the robot devil.

I thought his broke ass had to sell that.

You can judge for yourself. The Red Sonja from the comics was based on a single story from Howard’s: The Shadow of the Vulture.

We’ve been heavily sanctioning them into poverty since 2015 with the hopes that the people would become dissatisfied and overthrow the ruling class because we were pissy about oil.
