I know. :(
I know. :(
Search Geffen on DataLounge and CDAN. Lots of horrifying stuff, and he is the biggest fish of them all.
I know. I’m really, really disgusted with the comments defending Franken. We seem to be in the minority in thinking the way we do on this issue, and that’s so fucking depressing to contemplate along with everything else going on.
Poodle, I understand why you feel the way you do. Truly. But we can’t have different standards for people we happen to like.
Ugh, I know. I hope Bob Weinstein falls too, because he covered up so many of Harvey’s crimes.
No apologies necessary, that was needlessly rude of me. So, MY apologies to you!
And? It’s still problematic.
She was spot-on with that assessment!
I completely understand your take on this, but something tells me that his response to your suggestion would have also been incredibly defensive.
I have really, really mixed feelings (mostly bad) about the whole “white British people singing soul music” trend. Even though some of them are truly talented, I wonder how much of their success was due to the novelty factor. Oh, and don’t forget that whole “hating black music until a white person sings it, therefore…
That’s what I’ve read as well.
What I’ve read on DataLounge is that Singer was dating some young guy on set, and walked in on Spacey fucking him. Singer flew into a rage and left the set for a few weeks. He obviously was ultimately persuaded to come back.
I always thought Stewart was a shitty interviewer.
I hate those types of people...the ones who decry someone who is “making a scene.” They never go after the person whose actions caused the scene-maker to go off, though.
Ashton is massively wealthy from some tech investments he made, so I think that gives him more sway than his “star” status. They’re extremely close from their That 70s Show years.
I think you’re right on the money with this.
CDAN has implied that Ashton Kutcher is protecting him.
Could be. However, an interesting take that I’ve come across is that homophobia might have played a role in protecting Spacey (from the New Yorker): https://www.newyorker.com/culture/culture-desk/after-kevin-spacey-gay-men-need-a-whisper-network-too
FWIW, a blind item on CDAN the other day said this would happen. That Weinstein has given her money to say these things.
What interesting timing! His close friend Gary Goddard, who was accused by Anthony Edwards of sexual assault, just took a “leave of absence.” Goddard and Singer were both named by Michael Egan in his lawsuit that was thrown out a few years ago.
