Seriously, though, I am delighted China sees this as a worthy project. It says something very nice....like all humans, they too seek further enlightenment, and value scientific endevour as a means to that end.
They are really building it for astronomy. It is possible to use it for locating radar sites by bouncing the signal off the moon but there are satellites that are better and cheaper at that job.
My guess is that they want to do a kick ass SETI search.

I like Ryan Reynolds. He’s not a bad actor and is a pretty cool/nice seeming guy. It’s just he keeps getting shit parts in shit movies that aren’t suited to him.
