Just two days ago, I went to a Wendy’s to get a burger (my daughter’s choice). 9:15 I pull into drive through, 9;50 I pull out with a lukewarm burger. There were 10 cars in the line. Across the street, Chick-Fil-A served about 80 cars in the same time, and they never had more than 2 cars in their lot. They really are

Just imagine if all of the cars in the Chic-Fil-A drive through had to park and walk inside.  The parking lot would have to be massive.

I knew a conversation about drive thru’s would only last so long before someone mentioned that chickfila has the best one in town. I also knew it would take even less time before someone responded with “But muh LGTBQAIXYZ rights tho” like its got a fucking thing to do with the discussion at hand.

chick-fil-a is a bastion of fast food innovation (that I wish would knock it off on the religious bigotry shit), especially compared to hell holes of drive thrus like panda express (when it’s generally faster to go inside and wait in line than to actually use the drive through there’s a problem.)

If all drive thrus were as efficient as the local Chick-Fil-A, it wouldn’t be a problem. However, if they were all as popular as that local Chick-Fil-A, traffic would only move on Sundays.

Brexit might be terrible. But the negativity machine in the media virtually guarantees it’s not going to be as bad as conventional wisdom dictates. When literally every bad thing is presented as the end of the world it’s hard for the actual outcome to live up to the hype.

“I-35 rush hour traffic in Dallas” ... “demonstrating a complete lack of knowledge of how to operate their motor vehicle safely in traffic”

Alternate Headline: “Drivers With Incredibly Poor Skills Unable to Hit Dumbass on Scooter”.

I drive that stretch of the road most days of the week. Fuck that guy.

Spy satellites: exist for decades

California tends not to understand economics and that uber and its drivers are a supply and demand equilibrium

I’ve been taking Uber roughly 6000% more often in the last few weeks compared to the last few years (rideless until I can pull my ‘86 944 from the ashes).

If you use the test the IRS has set up to determine if a person is an employee or independent contractor; they are in every sense of the definition “CONTRACTORS”.

There are plenty of jobs that will “treat you like an employee” if that’s what you want. I’m no fan of Uber or Lyft, but every fare a driver accepts is an acceptance of what he or she is paid.  Each fare is a job offer, after which your employment is terminated until the next offer.  It is the definition of an

I realize I may be in the minority here, but Uber/Lyft were founded by software bros looking for cheaper rides home from the bar. They were, and have not been profitable, and are going to stay afloat just long enough for the bigwigs to make their dough before they sell out and split, leaving the drivers to scrabble

What is CA mad about? Would so many people be drivers if the compensation was so horrible? This feels like it’s being driven by some taxi association.

Now playing

don’t forget cinema, Diamonds are Forever had a little dig at the conspiracy.

Don’t worry. Your share is only $2/Bomber. .... If $2 will affect your quality of life, we really are a third-world country.

On the other hand, the point of such bombers is to reduce other countries’ infrastructures to the point where their quality of life is much worse...

Are we sure this guy is Canadian? It seems like a Florida type of thing.
