Yes actually the 2005 xbox 360 plays Halo 1 and 2. As does a 2013 Xbox 360. It's the Xbone that wont.

Can a $600 computer from 2005 run skyrim on high (with no AA)? Absolutely not. But that's more or less what you get with an xbox 360, if you have one that old still working. And even a $1000 PC from 2005 is probably still 32 bit, and therefore can't run CoD:Ghosts. PCs go obsolete much faster.
