Fine, it’s all kind of eye-rolling and Zuck is a bit of a buffoon trying to force something with virtually no product-market fit, but don’t shit on iterative development. I spend so much of my work life trying to communicate to people why it’s better for everyone to get things in stages like this. I mean, I hate…
“It’s their fault if they don’t want to work in order to eat, plus aren’t we already spending money on food stamps that they waste on Oreos or some shit like that?”

This might be the straw that pushes me off of Sony. I let my PSN+ lapse last year and didn’t really miss it at all except for Diablo IV multiplayer (which I can get for free on PC). The fact that they would increase the price like this with absolutely no added value when the competition (albeit at a higher price…
The quotes are attributed and I’m assuming all of these were written while Luke was still with Kotaku, so <shrug>. Gotta pump out that content so why not recycle!
Nah, you just download the ‘remote play’ app and virtually any smart device can stream your PS5. If you search ‘PS5 Remote Play’ in Amazon you’ll find dozens of 3rd party solutions that are more or less what Sony appears to be doing here.
“But women don’t belong in combat, it destroys the historical accuracy of the game” - some blowhard probably.
Yeah, I know CoD is not historical anymore but I’m tired and lazy.
I feel like I’m the target for this thing (I will play PS5 games via remote play on an iPad while my wife watches the TV that the PS5 is connected to), and even I can’t believe that it’s being built.
This exactly. Even if they wanted to, successfully adding more scenes to develop more characters in a meaningful way would have been boiling the ocean.
The Netflix series, however, should be the perfect format for providing more focus on an ensemble cast.
I feel like the YouTube creator space is getting overly crowded and you now have definite overlap and conflict between certain players. Most of these creators have been making it up as they go along (which is great when it comes to creation!), but using that approach with the ‘dealing with competition’ problem is not…
Gee, awesome. Let’s just suspend everyone who was elected but doesn’t line up to his way of thinking and replace them with one of his lackeys, fuck democracy. Hell, the natural check and balance to this kind of action - impeachment, reelection repercussions - likely work to this asshats benefit.
Is this even legal?

Every feed is filled with Baldur’s Gate 3 news and while part of me really wants to join in, I know my likelihood of finishing even the character creator is hovering in the low single-digits!
I LOVE these shorter, more focused games. I am in the exact customer segment they are targeting - I don’t have as much time as I used to for gaming and titles that boast 100+ hr playtimes fill me with dread.
Rarely does news make me smile like this! My heart absolutely reaches out to the Bungie manager - I hope they are doing okay.
I’ll timidly raise my hand and admit that I really liked FFXV. It required more work than was necessary, or should be expected, to follow the story, but it really paid off for me. Beyond the story, I loved the world and the feel of it. It felt like a Final Fantasy world despite not looking at all like a Final Fantasy…
Normally I don’t point out minor mistakes but you have this tagged under Nintendo which might screw up some algorithms I’m not smart enough to understand

“But it’s unrealistic! It’s a post-apocalyptic world and if they want to fill it they need to reproduce for the sake of humanity and that requires dicks.”
