@shua.jo.m: I understand that speed can't be determined by just those but I can confidently say that Ubuntu isn't running slow because of my hardware. I was just stating that 10.04, everything at the same compiz settings, is a WHOLE lot faster than what I'm getting performance wise in 10.10.

It seems soooo much slower than 10.04. Minimizing the windows I can basically watch them as they minimize. Also the 3D cube seems jumpy

@Ayleron: What type of nvidia card is a good one that is cheap yet a great one. I have never built a computer but I would love to do it

I wish that chrome would have workspaces. There'd be 4 small blocks in the upper left and you could switch by clicking them. It appears in the chrome OS demo.
