I've asked questions like that a lot. It almost seems like with all of the A/V & security suite "deals", like free "30 day trial" and security bloatware being "advertised", it almost seems like the deal of the day staff have have some sort of incentive to keep "advertising" this crap. I've mentioned this numerous

No, hacking is not always pretty, but neither is it necessarily below board. Lifehacker has traditionally been a respectable website. It's questionably ethical to refer yourself once or twice. But going for weeks referring yourself goes well beyond "questionable" ethics.

I don't use URL shorteners and I won't click on them. If I can't know where a link goes, then I'm not going to click on it. If it's important enough, then I'll do a search for the article title and make sure that it's something I can trust before I go to it.

I just did this this past weekend. I bought some frozen ground lambs meat and wanted to grill it right away. So I stuck it in a freezer bag and ran it under hot water while I was working on the fries. It was easier because I could break it up in the bag to defrost faster.

Probably nothing. I don't really need anything right now, and I don't see a reason to waste a half-a-grand plus for something I don't need.

I have a Transformer and my wife picked up an iPad. I definitely came out better!

When refurbishing a bicycle I used WD-40 on a bike chain that was rusted solid. It took WD-40 and two pairs of vice grips to get the links working again. After all of the links were working properly I used 3 in 1 oil for regular lubrication, but the WD-40 had no long term ill effects on the chain.

I did this with my wife. A bunch of years ago I got a cheap $20 monitor at a garage sale and hooked it up next to our old monitor on our desk. My wife didn't like it at first and when I tried to explain it she still complained about it and wanted me to get rid of it. I didn't. It didn't take long for her to fall

Interesting predicament. I'm not a pro at this by any stretch of the means, but couldn't some sort of macro program do this. Like setting up a macro like "Ctrl-Alt-?" is setup as nothing on the host PC, but that produces "Ctrl-Alt-Del" on the client PC? Someone with a bit more know how would have to give you a

It's not the most efficient method for checking the accuracy of the watches, but it certainly is fun and interesting.

Don't forget a TechNet Standard subscription that allows you to download tons of MS software and install each up to 100 times. I haven't needed to dole out the money for MS software for a while, but once I do, I'm going this route.

Now that would make for a great laugh!

Give her a subscription to lifehacker.com for her birthday/Valentine's day/Christmas/President's day/etc. Nothin' says lovin' like lifehacker!

"I can't tell if you're being serious or "funny" with your hashtags." Great! That's the idea.

So the article is about grammar mistakes but the picture is about a spelling mitsake. Sometimes it's a spelling mitsake that creates a grammar mistake, but generally that's not the issue. #grammernazi #spellingnazi

Again, how is a "Free Trial" a deal of the day? In that case we should have thousands of deals of the day on all kinds products.

Rotate... head to foot and foot to head

If it's pillow top you may need to turn / rotate it... make the foot the head and the head the foot.

That you know of...
