My 1-year old has been playing with a few baby friendly apps on my iPad with supervision. I'm not at the point I'd let her use it alone, things tend to get thrown when she grows bored of them...

Speaking as a pretty serious gamer who has a non-gamer wife, I think games just end up being like any other excuse when a relationship has issues. Ultimately if it's not games, it's sports, going out with the boys, work...etc etc...

Parents should look at their own children and decide how much, if any video game time is healthy. What's right for one child might not be right for another. A complete disconnect may be drastic, but if the parent felt that the only way she could get her kids back on track was to go to that extreme, the more power

While not condoning what Woods did, Woods is still actively involved in the Sport that EA has him sponsored for. And if the early press is indication, his role in the game that may (or may not) ultimately bear his name has been minimized with other aspects of the game (The Masters) being the accent.

@Thanatos: We also get some pretty fully fleshed out PC games that have more managable mainstream PC specs.

Personally I'm glad PC games are being held back by console gaming, you should be able to buy a good PC and it still be good for at least a few years without having to upgrade. Sure you may miss out on bleeding edge graphics, but you also create a larger market which wil encourage future development.

Took it for a test drive tonight. Works like a treat. Decent presentation, looks good for a stream on a big TV.

I would never buy a piece of drek like that and the guy does come off as a bit of a douche, but the 'community' does not come out smelling like roses either. Essentially they censored a guy because they don't like him, and if the same thing had happened to them, the screams of righteous fury would echo.

I just got off the 'enthusiast' roller coaster and my current 2 1/2 year old machine build by a Toronto store for a pretty minimal premium, will be my last hardcore gaming machine. The economics of having to sink $1000+ into a new system every few years (or hundreds in upgrades to avoid having to buy/build) a new

@Darth Pugz: Agreed. That will be interesting. I think Gamstop will try to go business as usual for a bit to discourage other companies from following EA's lead, but I think it will impact their bottom line and force a rethink of their current policy. Used games are a balancing act. You have to give enough

@Gemini-Phoenix: If you have no internet connection, you will not be playing online, so the online pass is absolutely no use to you anyways. Your point makes no sense.

Personally I have no problem with the way EA is going about attempting to counter the used game market (specifically Gamespot). Considering that an in Market sports game ususally retails for $5 less used @ Gamestop than a new copy means minimal cost savings to a consumer, no profit for EA and a healthy payday for

@Reg_Dunlop: At the end of the day I think it's better to win the bronze over the silver. Getting all the way to that game and losing sucks.

The US wasn't supposed to be anywhere near this game. They were a young team of decent players that should've been stomped by 4 out of the 6 big teams in the tournament. Their coach's best moments came nearly 14 years ago and now he coaches the NHL's worse team.

And this is going to be the same parent that in a year's time is going to complain that her son never comes out of his room.

The Fifth Estate has a long history of solid, well researched journalism. Hopefully the trend continues with this episode.

Shallow with a capital S.

A few years back as Mourinho marched to his second title, Chelsea were the masters of snatching wins and draws from the jaws of defeat in those final 15 minutes. "Mark of a Champion" the London papers cried out.

Mike, I have a hunch you're not the type of player who rushes to the cap so you've gone around experiencing the game the same as me.

I think overall I'd be more bothered by this if it was a chosen design decision that was ultimately scaled back. In this case we're talking about licensed music put in there for no other reason than to fill a certain area with ambiance. The game will not change one iota because of it.
