I'm not sure the i8 is the most significant or forward thinking car on the road today. I don't think it's the most groundbreaking in its technical design. It's not the first cheap carbon fiber car (as well as very far from the first affordable composite car), nor is it the first hybrid.

Guess I made a good choice then. We agree on all points. All I want to do is drive it more...but these things called work and sleep keep getting in the way.

We live in an age where one may obtain a V8, V10, hybrid, or electric configurations in said supercar.

The Ferrari FF is the sort of car you couldn't make up – no one would have believed that Ferrari would have made an AWD station wagon and yet they did. It's the most un-Ferrari thing they could have made, but you can't help but love it.
