I don't know what bike you ride or how, but you should have no problem getting 40-45 mpg not riding like a maniac.

Seems like the perfect job for a retired race car driver!

I'm holding out for the 835d!

No worries.

Not exactly. If anything, the inertia of the car moving forward combined with the grip of the tires and power of the brakes caused the tires to rotate on the rims. The weakness is the amount of friction between the rim and tire being overcome by the other forces. The inertia of the tires themselves is pretty low

Now if they would just put the engine back here...

This factory isn't Koenigsegg's original building. A few years ago, their first factory caught fire on a weekend. Luckily, the staff that was there was able to salvage almost everything, including cars and machinery. They moved across the runway to this building, which housed one of Sweden's most legendary fighter

I think it would be a good opportunity to design something new and innovative, but it would likely be built to look like a vehicle they already sell for brand recognition. I understand the brand recognition rationale, though.

Had to vote CP because the price is a bit high. Drop it about 3K and we'd be in the ballpark. I love the styling and the cool/different factor. I can't help but wonder if a LS would fit between the fenders. Back it up with a Tremec and narrowed 9 inch and you could really have some fun...

I live about 45 miles south of Springfield and make that commute every day. If I had to deal with Chicago traffic, I'd go nuts! The stretch of I-55 I take isn't too bad, but it got roughed up a bit this year. I think it's close to needing repaved. Some areas are getting a little wavy.

While that may work in Texas, there is no way you could do that on an Illinois interstate after the winter we just had. Proper initial construction and maintenance, both of which are ignored on most of the interstates I have been on, are key.

I got goose bumps when he got on it after rounding the corner as he passes the camera then heads up the hill!

True, but after driving an F1 car I would say Space Mountain isn't much of a thrill...

As an owner of a dog that is just 7, I still agree with you...

The Viper was the first car I fell in love with as a kid. I remember seeing it at the 1993 Auto Show in St Louis at age 12. This sickens me beyond belief...

They likely wrapped the strap around the k-member that is part of the front sub-frame. From that angle, that would be the strongest lifting point with the least risk of further damaging the car.

I like the idea of calling it the SD. just watch out for the bros calling it a Focus Super Duty...

I have to agree with BenArsenal on this one. It is a new car that was co-developed and not an existing platform that was applied to another brand within the larger corporation. The argument could be made for the GT-86 vs FR-S using that criteria, though.

Tahoyoukonescalade! I lol'd!

I don't think of the twins a badge engineering since it was a collaboration from the beginning. They created a new car with two incarnations (though the GT-86/FR-S could be considered badge engineering). To me, badge engineering is taking an existing platform and applying it to another brand within the larger
