@Platypus Man: sorry, my bad. I haven't read it fully. best of luck in your search!

@Johann Schmidt: oh, yeah. XBMC :) wonder, when I will get it.

@dagamer34: you have to agree, that progress in tech is happening in exponential curve. especially, if we're talking about GBs. the rapid expansion of GBs/rapid drop in price/GB was going for like 10 years or so and it dropped how many percent? Loads(i'm too tired to dig the data). ssds were introduced for public use

@jmblackmer: you could share your creation with fellow lifehackers, ya'know? :)

@Platypus Man: have you thought of doing a bit of DIY woodwork?

@Johann Schmidt: what's the point of keeping the covers then? you are planning on selling them?

@FDeSousa: I have stumbled upon this answer, but found it too difficult to follow. will try to read it again a bit later.

@emrichar: not that I care, but I found my suggestion to be better(depends on your preferences). why:

followed the tips - registered fine. but conversion was awful!

@i ♥ Tofu: where did you found those? I clicked setting on the bottom and it offered to switch to private mode. but that's it.

@KiteZA: was just going to post it!

@emrichar: there are those rubber D shaped hoses with one adhesive side. they work pretty well.

@iamnowme: strange. I always found that sort of illiterate.

@Conn09: all good :) congrats with the degree!

trying to upgrade mum's LG GT540 optimus from 1.5 to 2.1.

@mmseng: marketing. it all pays off.... it's cheaper for them to update the servers(consider the fact that most people probably are not maxing out, so dropbox can use that "unused" space to accommodate new arrivals), than spend enormous amount of money of marketing campaign that would drag this much attention.

@huh989: I loved the "wing it" step as well. it appeared to the most mind bending to me, whilst still doable with no technical knowledge, just thinking.

@Ryan Goldstein: TBH, I informed LH few days in advance. when the message about the hack week/-end was posted on dropbox. sadly, nothing was done about it.
