I don't understand your mentality on the whole "Online Required" thing. I understand your reasoning and I don't want to argue about it, I just don't understand why it's such a big stinkin' deal that a game is requiring you to be online to play?

I don't think this is the same. The problem with IE was how entangled in the OS it was. This disallowed a user to remove IE if they didn't want it, technically since Microsoft sold Windows as an operating system, embedding their own browser within it seemed crass.

I have both Pandora and Spotify and I really wouldn't like one without the other. Spotify is like having my own awesome library of music at my hands. I can see your point I guess, I don't live in a huge city so most of the time my 3G still nets me 100-200 kb down if I tether it, which is plenty for anything I want to do away from home. I still managed to get throttled though, and having LTE will just make that happen faster.

Faster? Hell yes. But I hit 7-10 gigs a month on my unlimited plan and guarantee I'm getting throttled in the tail half of the month.
