This reminds me of Xavier Renegade Angel.
Fortunately my copy of Duodecim is digital, so I’m still able to play it from the Vita. Which is still the definitive way to experience the series i think.
The first fighting game I got for my Sega Genesis was SamSho 1. And my first game ever for the PlayStation was SamSho 3.

Yea the lightsaber physics were a red flag. And then the melee enemy deflected it with the center of a staff. Nope.
