CHILDREN’S INSURANCE PROGRAM!!
“I would totally vote for a woman! Just not that woman.”
Right, this is representation that gets noted. Not however many hours of pro bono work should probably did being an associate that long.
Oh, puh-lease. This shows complete ignorance of how large law firms work. She was an associate at Davis Polk, and she got staffed on a tobacco case, probably not by choice. Do you realize how many clients she probably had at her decade there? Just like Barack and Michelle worked at Sidley Austin, a comparable firm,…
Changing the outward to match the bitch within is empowering. I just finished 2 months of negotiations to get the same title/salary of my former (male) boss who’s job I’d been doing for at least 6 months.
I actually met Gillibrand back in 2006 when she was campaining for a house seat in Upstate NY. That was a pretty conservative distruct that covered the rural Adirondacks as well as wealthier ares like Saratoga Springs. The district she won in hadn’t voted a Democrat into office since the 70s. There was just no way in…
Bros won’t vote for any woman. They will always find a bullshit reason for why they can’t support her.
She thinks it’s wrong for men to use their positions to make women uncomfortable and touch them inappropriately without consent. Therefore she is an uptight prude and the men of the left will never forgive her.
He’s a golem made of mayonnaise.
“have you considered having some work done? ...oh, you have? and this is the result? okay... cool.”
>as a woman, I am sick of my rights being used as a bargaining chip...
I agree, which is why I think it’s so great Doug Jones never compromised on his pro-choice values.
The Democrats need to be putting more black women and other POC into leadership positions and start grooming them to run for higher offices. Instead of wringing our hands about “working class voters” (code for poor white people, though most working class people I know are a diverse lot) and start supporting the people…
“Frankly, I think republican voting white women are a lost cause, and I just have no idea what I, as a liberal white woman, is supposed to do to get them into the fold.”
As a woman who grew up in India, and spent over 14 years in the United States I do not get the white woman obsession with “killing the baby!” I have old extremely religious aunts and grandmothers in India who think abortion is better than bringing up an unhappy child.
If we don’t start fighting, and I mean dirty, we are going to continue to lose.
I’m also a single issue voter because of abortion. Just on the opposite side.
My extended white (mostly female) evangelical family are nearly single-issue voters. That issue being: ABORTION
Shouldn’t we, as progressives, identify, define, and then destroy, our enemies? I am tired of pretending like understanding the other side matters. They are wrong and need to be brought to heel.
