Yeah, it's really food for thought. I think if you have some real deal breakers in mind, then the niche sites make sense. I have a good friend who is vegan and has really tried to date meat eaters, but has had those differences get in the way. For her, a veggie site might make a lot of sense. I am a vegetarian, but

Yep, from nothing to CIN III in 12 months. I don't care what anyone says, even after many years of normal paps, I am getting them every year forever.

And that is *in spite* of recommendations. So when recommendations are to reduce screenings, I do get my hackles up a bit.

Actually, I used to work at an eye doctor's office and one of my main jobs was checking insurance and that is actually completely untrue. Many people are only covered for one exam a year, some plans only cover one exam every two years. And very few plans cover much in the way of hardware, but that's a seperate issue.

I think the point is, with recommendations like this, is it possible that law could change? Especially with our ever-changing political climate. It's certainly possible and I think that people are right to be vigilant and concerned.

For real. I don't get all of this love for the ACS, like the only thing they would ever think about is women's well being. I work in the medical field, and as far as I can see it is largely about money and politics.

I had no family history of cervical cancer, but yes, I was sexually active which was a risk factor. But my point is, without yearly paps, it seems very likely that my cervical dysplasia would have advanced to cancer, as in just one year it had gone from normal pap to CIN III. If this could happen to me, I don't see

It's so weird, as a teen I was close friends with this girl who dated Fab (obviously, pre-fame). I don't know her anymore, but I always think it would really suck to have to hear about your ex dating hot celebs all the time. I mean, I am sure she has an awesome life now in her own right, but I feel like a small part

From personal experience, I really disagree with this. When I was 21, I was getting yearly paps. I don't know why, I guess just because I was paranoid and very active and that's what I thought I was supposed to do. My pap when I was 21 was abnormal, showing CIN III, which means severe changes on your cervix that are

I agree. I have friends that were similarly lucky. My one friend was like "Well, it's just a matter of making good choices." Umm, no. I have never been pregnant, but my mom gained a LOT of weight when she was pregnant with me so I assume I will be in for some fun times if I ever have children.

I agree that bipolar disorder is unfortunately used as a catch all for mental illness, much like schizophrenia used to be. It was the attendent herself who said she was biplolar; I run into that a lot as a social worker...people who know something is up with their mental health and who self diagnose, or have been told

Well, I wasn't there, so I can't be sure of what her tone was like or what they were thinking. But it seems like everyone was pretty uneasy about this situation but no one wanted to say anything...I think that happens a lot in society because a) people want to be polite and b) people don't want to get involved in

Yeah, I mean, maybe it's just because I am a social worker and regularly have to assess people but if I get on a plane and the attendent is confused about where it is going, Imma gonna say something about it to her or other staff, for sure.

I am not loving the sort of mocking tone of this piece. I don't find what happened here funny in any way, and nor do I understand the implication that this woman was doing something malicious, or on purpose when it seems obvious that she suffered some kind of psychotic break. I don't want to assume, but it sounds

Oh, I totally agree. I mean, it is easier, but to me, that's exactly what makes it such a lazy behavior. It's like, come on people, live a little! You can always stop at McDonalds or whatever on the way home if your meal is soooo terrible. Heh.

Haha, thanks. Yes, not a lot going on in Rome. Luckily, my grandparents were awesome so it was still fun, but other than that, the main thing Rome had going for it was...uhhh...turkey joints. Heh. Are you from upstate???

Good point. I mean, if people were actually soliciting info about an ex that I felt had screwed me over? Man, watch out. I would not be able to keep my mouth shut. It would be a physical impossibility.

I have no issue with people liking the Olive Garden when there are no other options. I mean, if it's the only game in town, then sure, go and enjoy it. I grew up in NYC but spent all of my summers in Rome, NY with my grandparents, where the highlight of my week was our Sunday lunches at Wendy's. I get it.

Kind of loving what a weirdo Kristen Bell is lately. Obviously, there was the whole sloth debacle, and now she's saying things like "I want to round cupcakes, always"?!!? Pretty great.

I am not saying there aren't shady aspects, but I also think there are plenty of shady aspects in say, Catholicism, and am generally uncomfortable with anyone being mocked because of their beliefs.
