Seriously? I have never once used Gchat, and I only very (read: VERY VERY) rarely use Twitter. Meanwhile, I still spend most of my time on the Internet. Find new places, sir. The Internet is much larger than those two.
You might want to see a doctor about that short-term memory loss.
Yep. I was about to ask what an "ad" is, but then I remembered these things that existed long before the days of AdBlock Plus and DVRs. It's like being reminded that your 8-Track isn't going to work soon...
Yep, christek91 already clarified :) . Thanks for the link, though. Keep up the good work!
Wow, that's amazing! If this works as well as it sounds, it could be a huge advancement in accessibility technology :) .
Slow, but accurate. Think about what it's doing: looking down, seeing where the stairs are, and deciding how to move its feet to climb the stairs without falling. It's EXACTLY what humans do when we look down at the stairs while climbing them...we just do it a lot faster. But no need to worry, because we all know…
Uh-oh. I AM GET HAIRCUTS! Does this mean I'm a terrible, horrible commie socialist and never knew it? :O
This is cool, but...there's no way it's real-time. The Mechanical Turk camera took several minutes (or was it more like 10 minutes?) to process. So what would this be useful for? Many of family members are hearing impaired, and I can't think of a use for them to record something, then 10 minutes later read what they…
I've been using Google's search-based calculator for such a long time, I can barely remember ever opening a calculator program. My new wireless keyboard, however, has a dedicated "Open calculator" button. It's a Microsoft keyboard. Go figure. At least they're trying to keep it alive...and failing, but still trying!
Someone should talk to Chick-Fil-A about reverse image searches...and, you know, not being such douchebags that "the Muppet company" has to say goodbye to your association.
I have a feature phone. I don't know if I'd consider it a "dumbphone"—I can still go on the Internet and check my mail and take photos and videos—but it's also not a smartphone. No apps, no multitouch display, no functional updating.
xD . I love that! I never go on Tumblr, but I might make an exception for this one :) . Thanks.
Well, that's interesting. If Satan is using nanobots to get his work done, then he's a scientist. And that makes perfect sense, since science is evil! It's always trying to steer us away from God with ideas like evolution and a 4.5-billion-year-old Earth and the Big Bang and DINOSAURS. Feh.
I didn't realize foam was recyclable...then again, that would make it as eco-friendly as plastic water bottles: they're only eco-friendly if people actually recycle them instead of throwing them away.
You know what? I'm not worried. I'm a dog person, always have been, always will be. My family has had 5 cats over the years (3 at once) and 2 dogs. Cats are lazy and boring, while dogs are energetic and fun. There's no two ways about it: cats suck. They're only even REMOTELY interesting when they're kittens, but that…
Ah, okay. Makes sense; I guess I hear "eco-friendly" and immediately start thinking of the materials :P .
Pardon my potential ignorance here, but how is foam eco-friendly?
Any piece of leather with a hole in it looks like bondage gear to you, doesn't it? The resemblance wasn't "obvious" to me until you said it.
Growth? Viruses don't grow. Then again, they're also not technically "alive", but they ARE organisms. Maybe that criterion shouldn't be included?
