It's not a regular photo. Notice the image is actually created with an electron microscope? That relays the 3D structure of the film, in this case after being partially digested and moved around inside their bodies, not the colors. Light has nothing to do with it, only shape.

My point was that your argument can be used against yourself. If telling kids "don't do drugs" doesn't stop them from doing drugs, what makes you think they won't ignore you if you say "smoke weed, not whatever you're smoking now"? If they're going to ignore you, they'll ignore you no matter what you tell them,

If someone wants to have sex, you tell them to do it safely. If someone wants to get high, you tell them there's no safe way, because that's the truth. It's safER, not safe. The lesser of two evils is not automatically good. By that logic, you could say "Hey, don't do bath salts, instead do cocaine because it's not as

Because weed is a great, wonderful thing with no downside and everyone should always be high because without weed you can't possibly destress and...blah blah.

"I want it!" *Checks available hard drive space* "10GB? Well, that won't work...darn..."

What's wrong with the classic, "Don't do drugs" or "say no to drugs"? Why tell them to smoke weed when it's not necessary?

Bad idea to bring this up online. Anti-pot to the Internet is similar to religious nuts—people will argue with you until you're all blue in the face and no one will make any progress on either side. Speaking from experience, I suggest you don't respond anymore.

"Holograms", the new buzzword for anything that looks remotely like 3D or is projected on anything at all. By this kind of loose usage, I guess all silver screen movies are holograms since they're projected onto a wall.

If that's just the sample, then there's some serious sampling bias here. If it's the latter, it'd be interesting to know why that is.

Ah, but you are not Tony Stark, sadly.

How will you power it? Good luck with that arc reactor.

Only white Americans? Why not the other races?

If we assume this is real, the most interesting part is that there are genes for entire patterns of colors which can somehow be combined perfectly without causing problems or interference with each other.

Because not every comment on Gizmodo is an invitation for discussion. Sometimes it's nice to be able to simply leave my thoughts without the need for other people to chime in. That's also my right to do so. In fact, if I didn't expect people to chime in and tell me how I'm so lost and I need to get high so I'll know

Or people who have tried discussing any of those topics only to find an overwhelming majority of responses based on "I know this because I want it to be true". I'm in that latter group. Atheism isn't well-liked, nor is an independent political stance, nor is an anti-drug stance. Basically, anything that goes against

Cool. This at least gives those who say "I'm only using it for medicinal purposes" a big, red, "LIAR" mark on their foreheads if they won't use the new strain.

Code monkey no likey coffee. Code monkey get up get cocoa. Mmm, cocoa.

Actually, it means having an outcome that differs from the expected. A comment on an article about lack of proofreading is expected to have been proofread.

Who are "you guys"? Last I checked, I'm one person, whereas "you guys" implies more than one. Who else is using my username?
