I am so glad to see this big beautiful beast. I love cars, but I'm not a fan of rock hard suspension and performance ability I'm never going to use. Give me a massive convertible to cruise in any day, and the fact that it's malaise era is only going to mean that people won't recognize it as quickly once you tidy up

We don't all like to drive fast. Make it low and slow, those things were beautiful.

I knew that everyone would be going ape over chassis control this and horsepower that, but I'm glad to see a big beautiful luxo barge near the top. I love cars, but I'm not a fan of going too quick. I live in South Florida on the beach and dropping the top and cruising all the way down and then through Miami is a hell

Floridian here, can confirm. You're going to be soaked in sweat if you stand outside of AC on a warm day for even a few minutes.

Young gay man here, would buy the hell out of this. Especially in the right colors. I'd buy almost anything if it actually differed from the rest of the pack in styling and especially color, but this looks nice even as a biegemobile.

Floridian here. You might want to check with Google just to make sure we don't actually have a street named that.

I wish companies would do things like this more often. Certain models, and even marquis, have more than just past market value. They have a place in our hearts and cultures, and I would have loved to see something like this for Mercury or Pontiac.

It really didn't sound too confident to me. I would buy one out of principle alone if it were a possibility. Sadly, this interview and the guy's response that he was using a different business model to get these to be cheaper than a scooter put the last nail in it for me.

I've seen a few sources that note that while power is consistent with an electric motor, efficiency is not with some older designs, which prompted some people to use transmissions on conversions. If a motor can maintain good torque over a range of 10k-12k rpms this would only need a single gear reduction. The addition

Can anyone figure out how much one of these cost, just to put things into perspective?

Yeah, probably. Entirely unresearched possibility: Afterwards, psychopathic V8s will decrease in value at a higher rate of speed and provide a fresh crop of beautiful hooning material for what may be the last generation of internal combustion engine drivers.

I feel like it has kind of a "Hey, we gave it our best shot" feeling to it.

I spent the first seven-eight hours, and I'm not joking, before I realized that you can move on from the Hinterlands prior to completing literally every quest there.

There is something strangely intimidating about a small, aggressively designed car who's name you don't quite recall. The idea of a company that makes supercar priced Lotus-ish carsis a bit strange, but if they stick around Donkervoort will probably become synonymous with vicious track times.

With China claiming sovereignty of waters directly off the coast of other nations, it isn't surprising that they're beefing up on things that facilitate the movement of troops and armor over water.

It has aged wonderfully. I think that the Countach hasn't held up nearly as well. This thing is just a beautiful piece of art that really evokes memories of it's era.

Is it wrong to honestly want one of those?

Seeing a lot of interesting concept cars here today and it's pretty awesome. Things like this make me wish the means of production were absurdly cheaper and easier so that there could be enough variety to allow for whimsical beauties like this.

That picture made me briefly forget what the thread was about to begin with. There should be a list of the most beautiful one-offs, concept cars and rebodies. An absurdly long list.

I'm referencing the Orochi specifically as a brilliant, bold design that wasn't held back by modern conventions, not an example of Chinese design, which I used the Hongqi to underline.
