So what’s the buyer demographic for this? Into spirited driving, but also have a family to haul around, but can only have one vehicle, but able to afford the upkeep on a used Porsche...talk about a niche.

2014 - 2017 Buick Regal GS. You can find a newer one that’s lightly used fresh off a lease well within budget and still have a ton of factor warranty left. You’d be getting a car with decent power and handling as well as a better interior than a lot of other cars in that price range for the age etc.
There has never been a person that drove with headphones in that wasn’t a terrible driver. They’re even worse when its a newer vehicle, and exponentially worse when its a luxury brand.

While reliability remains to be seen the torque curve is where this will be a superior truck engine.
Isn’t the engine the only Italian part on the car? If memory serves, the manual comes from the previous gen Mazda, not from Fiat.

Maybe not easy. The fiat uses the previous generation miata transmission for some reason.
