Hmm, I’ve never had to “restart the display” in any car I’ve owned. And the fact that you’ve had to do it in 2 months on a brand new car actually sounds very bad. I don’t think you’re making a good case for the car.

I can’t imagine how the pad material would cause it to add 20 feet to hard stops after performing 1 hard stop. It’s bizzare... and scary since owners would have no idea that a prior emergency stop has now made the car incapable of stopping as fast as a F150. Pretty easy to imagine people suing over this too if it…
Do a few 60-0 tests and report back! 130 feet is something I could live with, but 150 feet— eesh! That’s early 90s-esque, and would be terrifying.
The later Mustangs got down below 130—
Non-tactile controls are dangerous. Cars should have controls that can be operated by touch and muscle memory, without the need to take your eyes off the road. Knobs, dials, and switches. As far as I’m concerned they should be mandatory safety equipment, same as headlights and bumpers.
Let’s be objective here. There are obviously huge quality issues with these cars. Random interior bits falling off and stereo volume going to max on its own are big issues that should never happen. Even the cheapest cars sold today do not have issues like that.
Those aren’t great vehicles to compare a sedan to, Chief.
In their defense, people fall in love with vehicles without knowing much about them. I really, really want an early-model CJ, but upon driving one without power steering I suddenly discovered the romance has limits.
The confusing stereo is a real issue when you need to look at it to control important functions in the vehicle. Also, the Edmunds long term road test has some more interesting insights. Their radio kept turning up to full volume without warning. That seems like it would be enough to distract the driver and create a…
I got to ride in a Model X for a long trip and it was stunning how loud the interior is at highways speed. It might have been the lack of engine noise, but it could also just be they suck at NVH more than other companies. Think of how long it has taken car makers to get NVH right. It is not a trivial problem.
Not all of them scream and cry, “Fake News!”.
Did the CEO of BMW in 1974 have a cult of personality that worshipped everything he said?
Will Tesla ever stop getting butt hurt every time a negative article comes out?
Fake news!
Where can you get a factory 500hp Vette for 25?
As I mentioned to someone else, I’m in this market at the moment, a good LS3 car will run you 28 or so and that’s only about 390whp... dump about 3-5k in boltons will get you to near 500, but now you’re at 33-35k and you don’t have a Ligenfelter car NOR a Z06.
You can find a Ligenfelter C5 for 15k? Where?
Even good OE wheels are solid. I would put anything with a JWL-T stamp up against a steel wheel any day of the week.
I think the problem is that most people buy cheap aluminum wheels. High quality, forged aluminum wheels are not cheap.
Why do people think that “jack-ass” means “mule” ?
