In Iraq, after Iraq completely fell, we ran a pair of AMRAAMs and a pair of AIM-9s most of the time. No real threats unless Iran got uppity. Its just what we did. I think towards the end of the deployment we just went with wingtip AIM-9s. Hard to remember. 2003 was a while ago.
