My university did the same thing in the ESL classrooms, but with spelling mistakes.
God Bless America is a troubling song. It should have been relegated to the annals of history alongside Manifest Destiny.
Are husbands in cultures where women keep their maiden names better? Nope.
Yes, location is a huge factor. Move anywhere outside of Kyonggi and apartments are quite affordable to buy, less than a deposit on a similar sized home in some parts of Seoul.
Yes, Seoul certainly isn't cheap, and it is very densely populated, but there are some nice places available at a reasonable price.
Nah, that's just cheap housing for students and young adults who just got a job in Seoul. The smallest rooms you can get in my hometown are about three times as big as that, and almost nobody rents them because the trend is towards fully furnished bachelor apartments for people who can't afford bigger.
Yup, my place has 4 bedrooms and two very large washrooms. Like I said in another comment, this is just one of those stories that perpetuates the myth that people in Asia live in shoe boxes.
All washrooms in Korea have a drain in the floor. So, you can spray the hell out of it without worry. That's something I'll miss if I move back to North America.
Outside of Seoul, students typically rent fully furnished bachelor apartments ('one room' as Koreans say). The newer one come with a 32 inch LCD TV.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Trust me, I live in Korea. My condo is about 1900sq feet. We sleep in a queen sized bed.
This article only serves to further the stereotype that Asia is cramped and that we all live in shoebox-sized homes. You won't find anyone using a goshiwon as long-term housing outside of Seoul (even in Seoul, the typical home probably measures about 33 pyeong, or roughly 1300 sq feet).
Never heard of dashboard and traffic cameras? Neither has he, apparently.
Yup. Makes you wonder why he did it.
Probably was as simple as checking traffic cameras.
