I rented a new Bronco on Turo for a weekend. I had plenty of spare room up front at 6' and 200#. It it feels like a much bulkier vehicle than the Wrangler.

I really like the idea of a silent electric trail bike, but not the idea of not being able to rescue myself with a jerry can.

As a motorcyclist who enjoys such curvy roads, I fully endorse any system that can keep a car in its own lane better than your average Sunday driver.

Ultralights weigh under 254 pounds empty, carry 5 gallons of fuel, and top out at 63 mph in level flight. MidSize cars come in at over a ton and half, nearly 3 tons for big SUVs, carry about 15 gallons of fuel, and most can top a buck twenty for speed. WAY more energy in a car crash.

Micro Bronco in Gulf livery? Okay!

or Tang!

But science now tells us there is no such things as race...ing! ;)

Counterpoint - kids can drive their electric Power Wheels around the neighborhood. Getting to drive an INTERNAL COMBUSTION MONSTER like Dad was/is part of the kick!  If anything, Autopia just needs an LS swap. ;)

My kids and I enjoyed the show. That’s us on the left! Very homey and casual. Felt like a friendly gathering rather than an “event”. The Rivian people were super nice, as were the Arcimoto folks.

Yack in the Box just dropped the Bacon Cheddar Potato Wedges, which were a fave with my kids and I . They also had some skinny baguette sandwiches a decade back which were pretty good. Oh and the Chicken Cheddar Breakfast Biscuit WAS divine. :(

Pffft, no VTEC, no sale! :P

All this COVID Greek alphabet talk has scrambled me. Yeah, the Delta pillars!

Power generation, transmission, and storage are not ready for a mass of EVs plugging in every night at 6pm. (says the multiple EV owner). There’s no need for every car maker to be jumping over at full tilt.

I has a 500e, then the Spark, and now own a Bolt. The 500 was fully orange and cute, and I described the Spark as looking like a stillborn bulldog (but it cost next to nothing to own). The Bolt is... not painful to look at, and had the range to get me to commit to owning rather than leasing an EV.

Same here - and after rebates and gas savings, the lease was practically free. As a second car for homeowners, it’s more than fine.

Stellantis, building the B-52s of the Ground.

I’d love it if we could have more rip-offs, one-offs, retro and fanciful designs on the road, instead of the endless sea of CUVS that all switch to identical C-pillars every three years.

This eye.

Semi-Real Question - can I charge my yet-to-be-recalled Bolt to 100% in the studio?
