I kept my 2000 Focus for 15 years. My 2008 Entourage is still going strong. And my 2003 Yamaha FZ-1 runs like a top. With a little care and maintenance, modern vehicles are pretty durable. I do lease my EVs though, just to keep pace with rapid battery improvements.
A/C worthy summer only lasts three weeks in Canada. :P

The Lincoln Aviator plug in hybrid would be my IDEAL vehicle. Three kids, four dogs, I tow, and I already have a 220v home charger. I make a substantial salary, but $80k on a car is a non-starter for me. I’ll be making due with a RAV4 hybrid and the occasional Suburban rental.
I think it’s the best looking US van.
