I never understood the hate on this show due to people were conflating Lena Dunham with a character she created. I remember when 30 Rock came out, and a Slate critic said that Tina Fey hasn’t been single since the Clinton administration so therefore she wouldn’t know how to write dialogue for Liz Lemon.

I binge watched the first half of the season with my mom and loved it. It was the perfect emotional catharsis and got us talking about a lot of things. I think it would be quite hard to wait week by week, so am saving up episodes to watch in another chunk. After resolving the Christmas cliffhanger that is.

Lately I find that I’m angry all the time. To the point that I forget why and I stop and wonder what I’m angry about. And then I remember that president trump is destroying america/our democracy and all of our lives.

Just got a ping that he is also threatening to send federal law enforcement (or whatever) to Chicago because it is such a mess there.

I have been watching the various incarnations of the nazi punch pretty much non-stop for the past day or so and they still have yet to get old. Personal fave:

I know that not everyone here loves her (and this is not an invitation to tell me what you think of her...trust me, I’ve already heard it) but I’m genuinely a fan of HRC and am still just so sad that she didn’t win. Can’t care about Joe - or any other candidate - right now/yet. :(

Really? He’d have walked into the presidency, and would have had the guidance and support of a strong exiting administration. Look at the clownfuckers who are about to run America.
