There ought to be a software switch to disable fake shifts, which, as you noted, compromise the benefits of CVTs and are only there in an attempt to placate Automotive Journalists and other gearheads. These guys are never going to like CVTs anyway, so why bother? Normal people should be able to switch it off.

Still back to Aaron’s initial statement, anywhere but Fremont and $17-$19 dollars an hour may be nice. You can barely get a decent double wide for under 500k in this area.
