Pretty pathetic calling it a van when the cited article calls it a truck. I guess bloggers don’t even read their own stuff.

Even that is more expensive as they ban more and more drugs. It gets more expensive to find drugs that are not banned and undetectable.
High regulation engineering battle will price out 7/10 of the teams also.
So you want to watch a race where no passing occurs unless someone screws up?
Leveling the playing field might not make for good racing. If everyone had identical cars, qualifying would be separated by milliseconds among the top drivers. During the race it would be very difficult to pass without some other artificial means. You might get a good run on a straight and barely make a pass, or else…
Not every problem needs a hammer to solve. Sometimes you might need a screwdriver. They are just tools in the toolbox.
I’ll stick with my daily carry pepper spray, knife, and gun. They are way more effective than keys.
BMW 3 series are 100% defective.
That’s because he’s not right. California law requires you to pay the taxes based on your home. So even if you buy a new car from another state, you still pay YOUR local sales tax. You can’t even avoid it by buying the car from another city/county that has a lower tax rate.
You have that wrong. If it has 7500 miles, it is considered used. If it is less than 7500, it is treated as any other new car purchased in California and subjected to all the fees and requirements. Even CA DMV say so on their website.
It is not illegal to sell a car from another state to California. The car just needs to be California compliant model. The buyer after taking delivery will need to get the car smogged before visiting the DMV to get it registered.
You do know people in the industry call them Crashbus.
Just hope that the company did their due diligence. Most aerospace companies are extremely anal about making sure all the materials meet the specifications.
It’s random sampling of raw materials at the manufacturer level based on their QC plan. The manufacturer of the materials is expected to have tested each lot and provide all the certification documents. If the material is certified to meet a SAE, Boeing, etc. specifications, the documents shall show that all the tests…
I work in aerospace. Our QC procedure does require random sampling of raw materials that we get in at the test labs to verify they match the certs that come with them. Most aerospace companies in the US do have requirements to use domestically sourced raw materials, so it really is a non-issue.
Mazda Miata in Taiwan cost about $1.3M NT or about $43K USD.
I don’t think their study is entire accurate. If NAFTA goes away, it would make it not profitable to build cars in Canada or Mexico forcing them to bring back production to the US. The suppliers would still be making the parts. The suppliers in Canada and Mexico would probably be out of a job.
I feel comfortable getting behind the wheel after getting really drunk. Doesn’t mean I’m capable of driving safely.
I bet $100 that the “manual” gear lever doesn’t actually put the car in the gear you select. If you are doing 60 mph and throw it into 1st gear, I doubt it would actually go into first.
OMG I will violate machine gun laws if I spray and shoot down people?
