He’s going to need to win the lottery from the bill he’s going to get along with the insurance premium increase.

F1 could ditch the pneumatic valves if they wanted to. Current rev limit is 15,000 rpm, but no one runs over 12,000 rpm because the increase in horsepower doesn’t offset the increase in fuel consumption. Champ Cars were running about 13,500 rpm on steel springs. One engine manufacturer even took one of the engines and

Jaguar a couple decades ago ran an electromagnetic valve system. While the system allows the engine to produce more power, it was offset by the electrical load required to operate the system. The only advantage was smoothness.

They were still in the $300 range back in the early 90's when a Specialized trispoke was $750. The Aerospoke wheels were heavy, still is, and weren’t all that aero, still isn’t. Back then if you got money, you had the Specialized. Don’t have money, the Spin trispokes. Only a few tri-geeks used the Aerospoke wheels.

Aerospokes have been around since the late 80's. They were cheap back then and now. That’s about it. Cheap.

Women are more ruthless than men because they can’t turn it off. Men could get in the cars battle it out, crash each other out, then go have a beer together at the bar. Women will hold grudges off the track.

Maybe it’s just a byproduct of high revving engines?

Drove a Fiat 500 as a rental. The trunk is useless, can’t even get two carry on bags in there without folding the seats. The BRZ will hold two carry on and one more small bag in the trunk with the rear seats up.

Lots of cars have the torque dip, it’s how they get the fuel economy up.

They still do. They are very predictable pushing the car to the limits. In some ways, I think I will be disappointed when I switch out the tires on my BRZ to Michelin PSS. Those Prius tires lets you get sideways whenever you want at any speeds.

Hmm, I wonder why they banned CVT’s in Formula 1...

There’s a reason why Heuberger Subaru in Colorado Springs moves the most number of cars out of all the dealers in the US. They on the average sell like 8 cars per day.

I went from a 05 Legacy GT wagon with a larger turbo to a 17 Forester Touring. So it is down on power by like half. It does have enough torque to hold 70-75 mph going up the Grapevine.
