I take it you never flown in the front seat of an airplane. Being able to see is extremely important. You are constantly scanning for other airplanes. By the time another airplane looks about the size of a quarter held at arm’s length, you are going oh crap.

They tried it in F1, but with the high reving engine, the power required to move the valves was enormous. The performance gain was nullified by the additional power to drive the valves. The only gain was reduce vibration.

All helicopter rotor systems have to pass through its natural frequency before it gets up to its operating speed. That’s one way to cause that much vibration.

Obviously you never raced in a bike race. You are allowed to use the entire road as determined by the race organizers. People will pull out of the pack like that all the time because support vehicles aren’t supposed to move through the pack at that kind of speed.

Not according to the rule book, all vehicles have to yield to the riders.

It is not on the cyclist. UCI rules basically state that the riders have the right of way. All vehicles have to yield to the riders as to not assist or impede their progress.
