Well, in fairness, he’s not entirely wrong. Twerking started back in the day in strip clubs as a way to entice the male clientele. Now that it’s mainstream, everyone’s doing it, but it’s roots are not void of the “male gaze”.

Just wanted to clarify - his paper was more focused on player’s athleticism and how it was affected by training/nutrition and if genetics played any part at all, and if so how much. I’m only calling you out on the size statement you made, which seems to be false.

Just wanted to respond to you here - the guy saying guys are larger now than before is wrong - the average size was largest in the 80’s when looking at the history of the NBA.

This is false. NBA players as “a whole” are not larger now. My buddy just did a paper on differences in sports eras, and one of the stranger things he found was that average sizes in the NBA were largest in the 80s. Greg, I appreciate the reporting here. You still kind of trashed Cormier early (it wasn’t as easy of a fight as you make it out to be - everyone had Jones losing round 2, and some 3 as well) but you balanced it in the end with calling Jones on the bullshit.

As in: “You must be injured in the head if you think we are taking out the STARTING QB at the end of a close game”?
