Minnesota? Or Wisconsin?

Trust me, I did that, too!

Dill relish is infinitely better than sweet relish.

That burger sounds fantastic. I love peanut butter and bacon sandwiches, but I never really considered adding pb to a frankenburger like that. I know what I’m going to try next time we grill out!

Oh, that “wing sauce” was naaasty. I made that mistake once. Never again.

I totally forgot about tartar sauce. I always make my own.

The year I made my own ketchup was the year I had about 200 pounds of homegrown tomatoes to figure out what to do with. I was desperate!

  • What condiment is totally worth making yourself? I’ve made my own Thai sweet chili sauce, homemade ketchup, and several versions of BBQ sauce. The ketchup was tasty, but kind of watery. The batch that turned out the best was the big batch that scorched all to hell on the bottom of the pot... I canned it (not wasting

This is also a problem with ADHD/ADD meds. Both my oldest and my youngest sons became suicidal while taking Concerta as teens/pre-teens. It happened again with my youngest, along with intense rage fits, 2 years later, when his new doctor put him on Adderall.

Wtf? That was complete bullshit. WIC is supposed to have slightly less stringent requirements than SNAP (resource: I’ve been on both) and I never, ever got told I wouldn’t qualify because I had my own car.

This. All of this. Been there.

I love KFC coleslaw. I’m so glad to see someone else here with the correct opinion!

When you’re looking at houses, if it’s a house you think might be “it”, don’t be afraid to go poking into corners or do stuff like turning on taps and flushing toilets. Use a flashlight to check out basements/attics/crawl spaces, look into closets, and check ceilings for water marks. Check the furnace, a/c, and water

This looks amaaaazing. I love gyros to the point that I have made my own loaf of gyro meat and homemade pitas so my kids could try them (2 of ‘em are gluten and dairy free), so I am definitely trying this!

Yours didn’t either.

So, according to you, no one should ever have children, because there’s no way to know what the future holds. Or maybe, only the super rich should have kids.

Because, obviously, no one ever has children and THEN ends up in poverty due to loss of job, divorce/abandonment, illness, injury, or other unforseen circumstances.

I had kids who would eat anything I put in front of them, with a few exceptions (example: 2 kids have a hard line against mushrooms and raw onions, 1 doesn’t like tomatoes “in stuff”... but loves chili, ketchup, and spaghetti). I also went with a “I will make what I want for dinner, and you will at least taste it”

I recently donated 2 boxes full of books to a local jail. I just called them up and said that I have these books and I would like to donate them, and they told me where to drop them off.

There’s a fruit dip that I make that disappears in a heartbeat... it’s super simple, just sour cream (for vegan variety, use the Tofutti kind), brown sugar to taste, a dash of cinnamon, and a bit of vanilla extract. It’s best with apples and strawberries, but works with just about any other fruit, too.
