There’s 9 of us in my family, so we have had some hella-huge fast food orders. I usually tell the person as soon as I get to the counter that we’re going to have a dozen orders of fries, and whatever fried chicken-y things, so they can drop those right away. Makes everyone’s life a little easier!

As someone who, as a teenager, spent several weeks living in shitty motels and living on stale donuts and bagels from 7-11... I hear ya. Good for that Krispy Kreme driver.

I often catch myself standing in 3rd position. I also can't lift my foot off the floor without pointing my toes. Who, me? 12 years of ballet? Naaahhhh...

The hours and hours of sewing perfect, tiny, nearly-invisible stiches... My eyes ache just thinking about it. I do a fair amount of hand sewing, and I can't do more than an hour or so at a time.

That is just absolutely amazing to me. I honestly can't even imagine spending that much on food. I have $125 a week for 6-9 people, depending on who's home, and I have to stretch that money like taffy to feed this crowd!

I buy in bulk, too. There's a restaurant supply store near here that takes the EBT card, and I go out there once a month, usually on their "spend $100 today, get $10 gift certificate for later!" days. Sam's Club takes the card, too, but they are more expensive because most of it is name-brand stuff.

Tuna has gotten more expensive, lately :(

Oh my god. My mother did exactly the same thing when we were waiting tables 15 years ago. The hot grounds stuck to her skin and she had 2nd and 3rd degree burns all over her hand and forearm. The owner drove her to the ER, at least, and she got proper treatment for it.

That is basically my dream. To own a bookstore (complete with shopcat) that stays open super late. Sounds weird, I know, but so many times I've wanted to get something new to read at 2am!

THANK YOU. I absolutely cannot deal with onions that are crunchy. Soft and caramelized, hell yes, I'll eat them out of the pan, but any crunch left in them and... no. Just, no.

I shake my head at you about the mushrooms, but I'm totally on board with the pineapple. Something about the sweetness of it and the savouriness of the sauce and other toppings (black olives, jalapenos, pepperoni, and yes, mushrooms all work well) just tickles my tastebuds.

Pineapple, chicken, and mushroom is one of my favourite pizzas. If I'm in the mood, I add jalapenos.
