i'm so sorry for your loss. *hugs*

i don't have any real advice, here, because you can't just turn off feelings like a light switch, but it's completely possible to be in love with more than one person at a time. i am, and have been for a long time. in your situation, though, i'd say that it's not a healthy thing.
oh, hon... i'm sorry. bedrest sounds like a dream, but after about the first 3 or 4 days, it's awful. i've been there... went into labour with my 4th at 28 weeks. the doctor was able to stop it with drugs and after a couple days in the hospital, sent me home to exactly the kind of strict bedrest you're describing.
not 2 hours ago, i announced that i can't wait for school to start up again. it's especially unfair, because school was called off on Friday on account of ice storms, so i got an extra day of kids/one less day to get ready for holidays in peace. it's utterly amazing how much noise and mess 4 boys can make.
oh, i hate it when they actually are right! husband makes a huge-damn-deal out of a teeny cold, so i told him to suck it up and soldier on when he actually had double pneumonia... yeah, i felt like an ass, and i'll never live it down, either.
While I can't think of any religious groups or cults that push polyandry (multiple husbands), there is always good, old, secular polyamory, which is simply multiple consenting adults of whatever gender in a relationship.
This. Thank you.
My husbands and I object to this "hell on earth" idea!
My husbands and I object to being labeled as a cult :)
Other-husband and i are exactly the same height. we also have exactly the same size hands and feet, but my inseam is 6 inches longer than his!
such a well written article about such an unhappy subject. Dasani has such potential... if only she can avoid all the things that so often drag down a girl in her position. she has a strong family, even if it's a bit messed up, so she has that going for her. i truly hope that they can stay in their new apartment and…
You are most welcome! Hope you enjoy them as much as I did :)
Probably dozens lol. Let's see... Food In History by Reay Tannahill, A History of The World In 6 Glasses and/or An Edible History of Humanity by Tom Standage, The Food of A Younger Land by Mark Kurlansky, A Thousand Years Over A Hot Stove by Laura Schenone, Fannie's Last Supper by Chris Kimball.
I'm currently reading Blood & Beauty: The Borgias by Sarah Dunant for my fiction and Pickled, Potted, and Canned: The Story of Food Preservation by Sue Shepard for my nonfiction.
The TeenChild actually gets up in the middle of the night to eat. Last night it was 3 sandwiches and an entire 2lb bag of popcorn chicken. The 12 and 10 year olds aren't quite that bad, but the 9 year old gives the TeenChild some serious competition. If I want to eat something, I better eat it fast, because it will…
high five I produced more males than I know what to do with, too, and the only other female around is the cat! I'm lucky they all leave the house fully dressed, let alone colour coordinated.
when i was a kid, nothing was open past about noon on Thanksgiving except for gas stations, and even then, there was usually only 1 or 2 that stayed open. i don't recall dying for lack of cheap electronics on a holiday...
while i can't agree that anyone deserves to get shot for shopping, i do agree with the general sentiment. i think these sales are crap, and i am ESPECIALLY pissed that Thanksgiving itself has been taken over. NOBODY "needs" to buy over-priced, fake-markdown-ed crap on a holiday.
Not the point, I know, but kids being provided with iPads or other tablets/laptops at school IS becoming the norm. They have them at all the schools in our district, and we're not exactly the richest area around. There are grants and programs that pay for these, now.
Maybe I just have weird kids, but my guys all go for the veggies and fruits.
