Being a New Zealander & a huge fan of the Ford GTs I’ll be following the 69 Ford GT & Scott Dixon for the LMGTE Pro class.
It’ll be interesting to see how fast Jenson Button is as well in the BR1-AER.

Are camera drones common in Rally racing coverage now? I haven’t watched much in a while but it seems the ideal solution for the stages. Also would be cool for some alternative camera angles in some GT racing too especially in the longer circuits.
I find it hard to watch F1 on any track, given the quality & competitiveness of racing in the numerous GT series (& RX, Supercars, Lemons....).
Agreed, Musk obviously has a connection to cars but an article looking into his personal life doesn’t fit on Jalopnik.
If there was a bit more footage of the wrenching, this series could rival roadkill/mcm.
I dropped Street Fighter when 5 came out to relearn Tekken & the upcoming Soul Calibur so I have my hands full for fighting games, but the visuals are so good in Dragonball it’s tempting to pick up (& I couldn’t stand the anime).
Just a heads up there’s a link to the live Youtube stream of the race in the link with the start.
18 hours to go.
Haven’t had a chance to watch the episode yet, but how does it compare to the Mighty Car Mods & Roadkill episodes that are basically just building cars? I’ll happily sit down to watch a show that’s similar with a few facts thrown in.
I have a pretty large backlog in Steam due to all the cheap bundles. While I’m playing through a larger game & my go to games (Project Cars 2, RecRoom) I’ll be working through a couple of smaller games on the side & some of these ones from bundles aren’t that good. Fist of Jesus & Death By Gameshow are newly added to…
This sounds like it has the potential to be a great co op board game that’s relevant to the source material, especially after the Street Fighter miniature board game looks to be rock. paper, scissors with SF figures.
Considering a Nissan factory team only competed in 9 rallies before retiring the Pulsar in rally in ‘92 I wouldn’t have much faith in an amateur attempt with the car.
1. Porsche 911 - My older brother was always big into cars & for whatever reason he liked Ferrari’s while the 911 also stuck out for me as a kid.
2. 69' Dodge Charger - High school sees you try to reinvent yourself a bit & I listened to a ton of stoner rock, pretty much exclusively. The focus on muscle cars by a lot of…
This first race is 300 kms, they’ll be racing up to 1000 kms so better to have two drivers throughout the series instead of bringing in another for the longer races.
My only concern with that is the cost of having a factory backed team would mean they’d lose funding in other racing, as even cheaper F1 costs are still going to be high, & the other racing is so much better than F1 at the moment.
They’ve taken the average pay across the whole company by gender, in a company that was founded by males & had a predominantly male work place of course the average pay for men is going to be higher.
If you take a recent employee of each sex, in the equivalent role & look at their pay are they the same? They will be…
I just booked flights from New Zealand to Canada, about 12 hours each way overnight & I booked the aisle in the middle row. At least if you’re there there’s only one person who’ll need to get past you.
It’s part of human nature to want to be a part of a group, probably why sports (even the boring ones) are so popular & why even though the majority of Ford’s cars I don’t care about, I’ll still watch IMSA races & root for the Ford GTs.
They always seemed like a spin off of Valves push into the living room & the use of the Linux OS for gaming, which partially looked to counter Microsoft’s potential push to dominate the PC gaming space again with Windows 10 & their new Microsoft store (which thankfully hasn’t taken off). The living room push worked…
