Slowing down in the name of safety is not unreasonable. Yes, vehicles should turn off if they are actually blocking others, but shouldn't warrant criticism unless they're going at a speed so slow that it's intrinsically unsafe.

Your entire chassis is grounded and attached to the negative post on the battery, so any solid metal surface that you can reach will do.
