Generally, yes. However, when you are literally remaking one of the most famous and loved games in history from the ground up, the talent would be much needed.

Go into it expecting a convoluted/bad story that anyone could have seen a mile out (sans one crazy twist). Also go into it expecting freaking awesome Mech vs Godzilla type action.

6 hours? Wow thats long. Must have been high quality!

...Seriously? It’s supposed to be a kids show...

You are my hero. Thank you for understanding how we feel when someones kid goes nuts.

Amazing special effects last for maybe a year or two until they’re mediocre. But an amazing story lasts forever.

“The writers of the movie even said that the directors had zero interest in the video game, so the writers had to basically sneak all of the video game references past them.”

This. This all the way. As soon as I let go of the idea that it was a Mario movie in a rigid traditional “Mario Game,” sense, I enjoyed it so much more.

Good a time as any!

I actually enjoyed it. I was like 11 when I saw it, and at first I was confused as to why we were in the real world, but after about 10 minutes I gave up trying to figure it out and jut watched it as if it was a stand alone movie.

Honest question, why did Sakurai have a negative outlook on Nintendo after Kirby’s Air Ride? I freaking loved that game, and I really think it deserves a sequel, just with a little bit more meat on its bones.

Ah, I thought Dead Island 2 was Riptide. Hmmm, I’m really interested to see what happens with it, considering how much Dying light got right.

If I enjoy Dynasty Warriors games style of gameplay, would I enjoy this?

Agreed on all counts.

The walking dead is not a AAA game, though its as popular as one. Its easily seen in the budget. Still an amazing game though. Dead Island 2, dead space 3, dead rising 3 and state of decay are not new, theyre all more than 2 years old.

If you’re going to metacritic, you should read the user reviews, both good and bad. The critic reviews tend to be quite funky and sometimes I can smell the $ behind the scenes in the past.

Indeed, I’ve noticed that their pace in the indie game area hasnt slowed at all, and it might have even increased.

I wouldnt blame lack of pressure from upper management for Ubisofts rather lackluster showing of late. That boils down to bad design decisions, deadlines not being pushed back when they clearly need to be (which IS upper management, but that’s still pressure) and in general them greenlighting stuff that’s not that

I’m not actually sure, the Zombie genre seems to have already tapered off. Outside of the PC indie Market, zombies arent very big on consoles. It’s been awhile since any super big name game came out starring zombies. I think the biggest upcoming one might be Black Ops three, but like I said, its not starring zombies,

A solid B indeed. If I made a game and it got over a 70 on Metacritic I’d be ecstatic personally. But publishers can be unrealistic often.
