Periodically the tagline of the second one pops into my head just as the voice over guy says it.  “Big Trouble in Little Muu.”  I probably haven’t played it since the one time we rented it from block buster as a kid around release but it never leaves the depths of my brain.

Freshly un-retired QB Josh McCown has a vertical rating of 90, which seems insane, but also makes sense because EA saw this video of the 40 year-old getting up there playing basketball.

I would suggest this excellent story by Laura Wagner over at Deadpsin about the assholes in charge.  It should answer all your questions about the recent changes.

Honestly, surprised it wasn’t a vape.

The Astros will quietly say “the punishment will be handled internally and we have no more comment on the matter” in the middle of the offseason and that will be the end of it until this dude becomes GM of the Mets or some shit and has a teary press conference about learning from his mistakes, how he’s a proud father

I maintain that the first season of the Digimon anime is one of the best introductory animes to show children. It manages to talk about so many different issues that directly affect many children and while still keeping their attention with giant monsters battling. What it means to be an older/younger sibling, gender

Commenting on the protests in Hong Kong is cool, but have you ever commented on the protests in Hong Kong...on weed?

I didn’t know Jim Spanfeller ran baseball too.

On one hand, I kinda get that people over there actually in China didn’t want to speak out on the issue in fear of a response from the government. On the other, maybe don’t do business with a government that would consider killing you over a random ass tweet by someone on the other side of the world that you are only

I am fully entrenched in Dragon Quest XI.  It’s not world changing; it feels really safe and it takes no risks.  But it’s fun.

“I’ve seen arguments saying that attendees should avoid saying anything about the controversy to avoid spoiling the good time of other attendee”

Choi is fat and awesome and that’s enough for me to root for the Rays in this series.

Man, I wish Bomani and Pablo had actually discussed it more in depth.  But Bomani said a week or two ago on a different political topic “I like having a job so I can’t talk about this.”  The pressure is real.

The NBA knows that it can sacrifice Morey. Some analytics nerds will be angry but most people won’t really care too much and the NBA can move on without much fuss.  But what happens if a player speaks out?  Harden has already sold his soul for that Chinese money but I wish even a single one of these stars would say

The only incorrect take here is the shade at Bad Boys.

I heard an interview with the, uh, controversial former GM of the Marlins, David Sampson. A lot of reasons to hate him but he gave a brutally honest answer about tanking teams and fan attendance. My numbers may be off a little because I don’t want to go searching for the exact moment in the podcast but he said

I have only played the first one but I was thinking exactly the same thing.  I don’t particularly like open ended games where it’s more about handing the player a bunch of mechanics and going “here, you figure out how to have fun.”  Dragon Quest Builders had more direction and I appreciated it.

So I went and wanted to find it and it turns out it’s not my library system’s base website but their electronic media site (for e-books and what not).  They use Rakuten’s Overdrive platform and it seems that they are the one that have the Dyslexic Font option (as well as a high contrast option).  You have to be signed

I had never knew about these fonts that are easier for dyslexic people to read until yesterday when I was on my library’s website and I noticed the option. Thought that was cool and wondered if other places had this option and now this article comes out today.  Weird how stuff like that happens.  Good on the devs.

I always found this dude interesting. If you remember how they talked about him when he was drafted (and the surrounding times), they always talked about how inspiring his story was.  Battling drug and alcohol addiction, kicked out of his father’s house, etc until he found Jesus.  Never once did they talk about this
