Because it works so well on Steam where games get regularly bombarded with negative reviews because people don’t know what they’re buying/people jump in the brigade because they see people doing it on reddit/twitter/4chan etc.

I’m with you on Hollow Knight.  It could be from too much internet hype but I couldn’t stick with it.  This is from someone that plays a lot of platformers, rogue-lites, and metroidvanias.  But I did love Dead Cells.  Haven’t played in a while though, so I’m sure it’s improved even more.

I think the worst part is that he thinks we all like it when he talks for 200 hours at a time.  It’s just that no one wants to tell him to stop because he’ll murder you.

Counterpoint: Toys to life...toys(figures?) should go and stay away.  I have no problem with them making cool figures/statues/toys for people that enjoy those types of things.  That’s totally fine.  But I shouldn’t have to buy your figurine to unlock content in a game I already purchased.

That was one of my all favorite sports days.  It felt like every pitch in multiple games could decide the season (because it could!)
