My favorite Bauer memory is when he came in in that like 18 inning game or whatever it was.  Toronto I think?  Dude wanted to pitch the next day.

At a certain point it’s a waste to keep him down there.  As terrible as Perez has been offensively, they clearly think he provides enough value defensively and as Bauer’s personal catcher to keep throwing him out there.  They can’t keep that bat in the minors much longer.

Couple things.  One, never said he was.  Two, win/loss record doesn’t mean a damn thing anymore.  Kluber is clearly a the better pitcher, but he’s faltered down the stretch of the first half.  Think it’s health related but still.  Just cuz Bauer is an asshole doesn’t mean he isn’t a good pitcher.

He’s got a cannon for an arm but still needs a lot of work on his game calling.  Also, Indians didn’t like his work ethic.  Could be a solid offensive/defensive platoon with Meadows until he figures that part out.

He’s definitely an asshole.  But he’s also definitely been really good this year.  When his curveball is on, it’s as nasty of a pitch as there is in baseball (he says strictly from watching it make hitters look silly, not by looking up the stats).
