Pitcher only.
Pitcher only.
I’m not sure what you mean. Ohtani can’t pitch and play DH in the same guy, he would just be hitting as the pitcher, and any subsequent pitcher would be forced to hit (or pinch hit for). If you lose the DH, by either not having one to start or moving a player from the DH to the field, it’s gone for the rest of the…
Nah, you can’t move a fielder to DH mid game.
I believe so. It’s like if you have a DH sub in defensively (say your backup catcher is DH’ing and the starting catcher gets hurt, so you move the backup to catcher) then you lose the DH. You can pinch hit for a DH and have the new player still DH, though. If a DH is fielding (or pitching) he’s not really a DH.
Because if he leaves the game early you have relief pitchers batting the rest of the game, which is probably the only thing worse than starting pitchers batting.
At least Betts could have the decency to play for someone other than the friggin’ Red Sox. Dammit.
I love how, in multiple ways, baseball is making itself less fun on purpose and wondering why people like it less than they did in the past. But don’t worry, shaving 3 minutes off a game will bring everyone back!
How dare he have fun playing a game
That could be it. I couldn’t remember where my Ego was when I played the first one, so I started it around 30, and I think this was around where that happened. I’m at around 60 now and I still see it, but probably not as much as before.
It’s fun. Gameplay wise, it’s pretty much identical to the first one though. It pretty much added online play and more customization options, but not much else. So if you’re looking for just single player, I would probably recommend the original as I’ve seen it on sale and in bundles a lot. But if you want online…
That was obviously an anomaly, but it happens at least once every couple games for me in single player. It happened more on the lower difficulties though.
You actually hit the pitcher WAY too much. I hit the opposing pitcher on three straight swings in the first inning.
That sounds like the exception to the rule, not a reason to continue hazing.
I never understood hazing. “Oh, you want to be part of our team? Let us be tremendous assholes to you for a while and then you can join.” I can see, like, making the freshman carry the water or some shit, fine.
It’s just so frustrating seeing some of the foul calls he gets. It’s not the “flops,” it’s the way he makes the other dudes foul him. Like, hooking them so they fall on him and shit. He games the system better than maybe anyone ever has, and he does a lot of cool shit. But it’s so infuriating watching him draw those…
Because they’re still so focused on marketing teams and “history” opposed to individual players.
There are no crossover stars because the unwritten rules don’t let people become stars. It’s “all about the team” and any show of emotion after hitting a sweet dong means you’re gonna get plunked the next time. Pitchers can yell and scream and pump their fist or whatever, but don’t you dare watch the ball you hit…
For what it’s worth (probably nothing) Brady Aiken pitches in A- ball with the Lake County Captains. He’s not major league club.
