Seriously. Rookie mistake.

God Damn it this is why every major browser has a porn mode.

If you’re pissing people off with your journalism, then you’re doing your job. Ruffling feathers, even if you’re entertainment reporters, is par for the course. Don’t stop doing it just because a couple publishers are a wee bit on the childish side of things.

idk maybe it’s a British thing? Speakers of the Queen’s En’lish seems to drop some consonants now and again.

The thing is teachers should so so so so so so be paid more. It’s ridiculous that they aren’t. Education should be a priority in this country.

I eat that shit up when I’m on the treadmill. I love Guy Fieri because I can live vicariously through him.

I’m just saying: even the best boxers of all time lose.

Definitely. Similarly, Anderson was and still is great, but he got into such a terrible habit of disrespecting his opponents during the fight, which I think makes him a bigger bitch than Rousey. I celebrated with unsightly vigor when he got knocked out mid-showboat.

As an American, I often find myself unfavorably comparing my country to other nations like Canada, Australia, or various European countries. By comparison, we’re downright third world in many respects. Health care, access to higher education, private gun ownership, food safety standards, a brutal (verging on medieval)

Ok, so it sounds like we have similar (and similarly civilized) processes then, and we’re getting a bit tripped up over terminology. To me, and to most Americans I think, the word “arrested” means taken into custody by force.

Complete bullshiterry to what she said, but to be ARRESTED over it?

We Americans need to appreciate just how special our intepretation of freedom of speech actually is.

When I was in Desert Storm, after the ground phase and we were in the Khobar Towers getting ready to go home, there was an “information center” with

But you realize that she has been arrested for speech, right? That you have arrested someone for saying something that wasn't violent toward another. Had a muslim actually gone in and been refused I can see it differently, but policing speech is exactly fascism.

Yeah, the arrest seems like a step to far to me too. I’m pleased their supplier publicly declared they would not longer be working with the salon. THAT’S the kind of thing that needed to happen. Not arrests. Shut down or fine the business even, but arresting the woman is too much.

I can understand the law. But fine their asses out of business. Or shut down the business entirely. Don’t arrest them!

Yeah, this is really weird. It’s not even that she was being arrested for refusing to provide services for someone based on race.

That’s too much like fascism for my liking. Again, I like how we do it. Protest and boycott them into the poor house. Let the public handle it than Big Brother.

Yes, do we really want a government that can police what we can say? And who makes up the rules as to what passes and what doesn’t?

Thank you. I was bummed it took this long for anyone to mention the arrest.

Boo on her being a bigot but boo on the arrest over her postings. Jesus, what kind of fascist act is that? For once, I like how they do it here in the US when it comes to people like her; bad mouth her on the internet and boycott her place until she goes bankrupt. No one should be arrested for posts like this. Shamed?

I blame the English language. It’s not Natasha’s fault that “All you can eat” can be singular or plural (and boo to Denny’s for taking advantage of the ambiguity). This wouldn’t have happened in Shakespeare’s day. When the tavern had an “All thou canst eat” special, everybody knew it only meant thee, not thy whole
