Comparing a group of all the men against a group of all the women yields essentially meaningless statistics. To go on and say that it is an “astonishing pay gap” is dishonest. Saved it in the last paragraph as the issue lies in hiring/promotions, but talk of medians and averages between the whole groups just…

I’m not sure that less than a 1% decrease is a reasonable cause for concern. To expand on your last paragraph, we know statistically that more women are enrolled in universities, they are graduating from those universities at a higher rate, and have higher GPAs than men. Women also currently out-earn men immediately…

American here: I’ve never been anywhere in my country where the school buses didn’t have a physical “Stop” sign that would extend on the driver’s side when a driver stopped the bus. Stopping in the oncoming lane does not apply to all buses and stops.
