It's the second point she was making, that they shouldn't just be trying to make some 'paragon of virtue' as that neglects a wide range of character possibilities.

Doubtful, they likely learned from that. Xillia came out a few months ago and there were no problems with the LE distribution for that.

That's not how supply and demand works.

It should also be noted that late-night anime basically replaced the OVA market. So you can blame late-night otaku anime for why we don't get those dark and violent OVAs anymore. But if people are upset that they don't get the kind of super robot anime they got in the 80s and 90s, they can blame Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and

A few characters do this in Neptunia V, as it timeskips on a few occasions, but most of the characters are unaging and the characters that do age go from toddler to ~8 year old to teenager.

I'm pretty sure he meant "ridiculous" in the "drastic"/"almost unbelievable" sense, but yeah, it does read that way.

Ubisoft, when can I pre-order this and how much for the collector's edition with the artbook?

One thing to keep in mind is that people in Japan regularly have long commutes on trains, giving them decent chunks of time to play handheld games.

This is precisely why I like Jude so much. I'm just so sick of the hot-headed morons filling the vast majority of the "main character" slot (though I'm mostly okay with Tales MCs), so it was incredibly refreshing to see one that was actually calm and thought things through.

I still enjoyed the game, but I thought Vesperia's story was pretty terrible as well.

The anime was atrociously dull and not even good for fanservice.

"enough" support is $150,000. Exactly what it gave on the Kickstarter page.

The movie is a prequel, it doesn't cover ANY of the game itself as far as I know.

I think Index is pretty bad too. And like SAO, I consider it to be mainly a source issue.

I thought SAO was horrible, but that wasn't an adaptation rate issue. Index's arcs vary, though I think it tended to be mostly 3-4 episodes after the very first arc.

That is correct, they cannot. If things change, it's because something went horribly wrong, such as Gundam SEED Destiny, which had a number of recap episodes while they scrambled and changed things behind the scenes. But shows are typically planned from beginning to end in roughly 12-26 episode chunks.

Most anime adapt novels at a rate of about 3-4 episodes per novel, resulting in about 4 novels covered per cour of anime. There are exceptions such as this or SAO, but Date-A-Live represents a much more typical adaptation rate.

I've heard largely positive things about Xillia's story.

In the U.S., he and the game are pretty hated. That's not necessarily the case in Japan though. And even in the West, some people may relate to Emil.

Her two favorites aren't from ones that had anime versions though. I assume she watched someone else play them.
