Starting is exciting. The middle parts can be a real slog. Finishing tends to bring excitement too, but also a lot of sometimes brutal self critique-maybe that’s part of the problem?

Yes, it’s like the British press failed to realize that they need the royals; the royals don’t really need the press. They can just keep on being royalty wherever they want to live.

And scheduling those meetings is a pretty huge part of my job. So those dumb meetings at least provide me with job security!

I get to work from home, and I miss the social aspect a lot. I also sing the in church choir, which only recently began rehearsing again on a very limited basis due to covid. The first two rehearsals had me wondering if I would ever get my voice back, but when I thought about it I had hardly talked much for the last…

At my place of employment, the lower level jobs have fuck-ton lists of “possible” responsibilities. The higher up you go, the shorter those lists get. As far as I can tell, the higher-ups do little more than go to meetings, most of which don’ t produce much.
