Also, the awesome colored buttons is only for the 3ds and not the xl. The XL only has the letters on the buttons colored. Sad :(

That's not a hard fix man! All you need to do is open it up and replace the battery. Hell, a lot of people do it as a service. If you do a quick search on Kijiji, I'm sure there is someone in your area that is willing to do this, I found a few very easily in my area. I still have my Pokemon Red with my original save…

They had a whole series of transparent 64's. The funtastic series offered transparent versions of Green, Red, Orange, Purple, Blue, Grey, and Black. These are some of the more expensive consoles to buy IIRC.

Still have mine. Official bathroom console (I could use the Wii U...but noooo), has Kirby's Dreamland 2 in it currently... Atomic Purple needs to come back.

Yeah I have a copy of FF7 on my computer but I haven't gone more than 20 mins into it (after blowing up the reactor at the beginning). It just really doesn't grab me. I kinda wished I had played it in 1997 (whenever it came out).

Thanks for taking the time to write that out :) I only own FF3/6 but have only played about two hours into it (sadly) before getting distracted by Chrono Trigger instead. FF15 has me interested, so I may give it a shot....

Side question from a complete outsider to the series.: What ties the 15 main FF games in the series together? What sets them apart from the other games in the series? Do characters from say FF7 ever end up coming across the character you play in FF13/14/15?
