Maybe you're in the States? I'm in Canada and all the retailers I saw (Best buy, Amazon.ca, local brick & mortar) are selling at at $64.99

I did, but I already own all the free games available in North America.
Not if you already own Pikmin 3... and all of the other free games already offered.
Also the battle mode kind of let me down. If I was making this game, I'd give you the option to turn off the timer and full item customization. I'd have arenas instead of the race levels and I'd introduce things like multi-team ctf. Imagine an arena like block fort from N64. 4 teams with 3 players each. Three balloons…
Yeah, it's a lot of fun and well designed technically. I have my share of nit pick problems with it regarding characters and items (such as the inclusion of Nabbit and the exclusion of the coin as an item) but it will be a game I'll go back to more than others throughout the Wii U's lifespan in my house.
See that part sucked for me because I already owned all of the games that were offered to North America. I got burned by being a loyal Nintendo fan and buying all their stuff, go figure. I ended up giving away a free copy of Pikmin 3 to a friend on twitch tho. Gotta give the gift of Pikmin whenever you can.
Canadian price. Most brand new official Nintendo Wii U games here are $59.99 tho, for some reason MK8 was $64.99
I'm a little late to the party but I recently picked up DKCR2 for Wii U and am having an absolute blast with it. Just got to the last island and getting ready for the final battles.
I need to pick this game up!!!
Just on steam? Surprised it wasn't put on PSN/Live arcade but cool!! Thanks for posting!
Considering O'Donnell's score was pretty much the only thing I loved about the Halo series, this was a dumbass decision on Bungees part. The man makes beautiful music.
Who is working at E3 in 2014 and doesn't have a phone that can take a clear picture? This looks like an image taken from my razr phone in 2006.
Yeah I didn't really word my OP that well. I meant indie more like AM2R rather than a game you try to sell on live arcade like Braid. I saw the Indie Games movie on Netflix and it looks like a nightmare but I would love to make my own little game in my spare time like AM2R.
Ahaha Turing.
At least there's good job security in policing. At least up here in Canada anyway, it's a great job that will get you ~60-100k a year depending on rank and seniority.
I didn't word it properly in my OP. I more meant games like AM2R than say Braid.
"If by "indie" you mean something you make by yourself or with a tiny team, then go for it! It's a labor of love. Just be wary of making that your day job. Or be okay with being poor for a while."
Between the lack of job security, average pay, pressing demands, long hours and the lack of artistic control in many studios, game design isn't too appealing these days, at least for me. There is always the indie route tho...
I differentiate between the 2D and 3D games so I'd say SMB3 was my fav 2D and SM64 was my fav 3D mario experiences. Both are solid games but nostalgia plays a huge factor in this for me.
