Well, he is currently dating an Asian woman so perhaps not so great? Or perhaps she couldn't wait to kick him to the curb (I really do find him insufferable...).

Her hesitation to label herself may be akin to many WoC's hesitation in calling themselves feminists. It may be that she doesn't feel a part of the gay rights movement as it has taken shape in this country. I know several queer WoC who feel similarly "outside" the gay rights movement in that it is,largely "run" by

Some thoughts...

These articles always strike me as not quite on target. The issue isn't whether a woman being "funny" or "rich" is enough. OF COURSE IT IS. Do you.

Ummmm, Mindy Kaling is a bad example as she is one of the biggest fans of designer clothes and make-up in popular culture as you get right now. She absolutely loves to be traditionally girly and pretty. I follow her on twitter and she's always tweeting about make-up, clothes, shoes, and giving shout-out s to her fave

It's a pet peeve of mine! My friend forwarded me a catalogue of "baby clothes porn" and I just had to put my foot down. Enough is enough!

But why wouldn't people stop to consider that MM is an adult with a brain and a mouth who is perfectly capable of saying that she's not comfortable with how she was being styled?

Why does everything have to be "X porn"? When does that phrase stop being clever? Was it ever clever?

:-(. I thought Juno was great.

Let people speak their truth.

RiRi looks gorgeous (this is perhaps the best I've ever seen her look) and she's wearing a hijab. What's the big deal?

I'm certainly not Lena's biggest fan but I do like how she doesn't look like every other starlet in Hollywood, always in some Herve Leger bandage dress or some "cool, hip" designer like Marc Jacobs or Stella McCartney. She may sometimes wear those designers but her aesthetic veers towards the more quirky and less

Sorry, I always find it naive and besides-the-point when people point out but "so-and-so has a better voice but fewer album sales." The quality of voice matters, of course, but it's just part of the package for an artist. No one on earth will argue that Rihanna, Gaga or Katy Perry have the biggest, strongest, purest

She looks amazing. All those who are making this an issue, ummmm, perhaps she thinks (rightly, IMO) that she looks gorgeous and bad-ass? She's a grown-up and was front and center at the photo shoot as the "talent" which is the most powerful person in the room (as he or she could just walk off set and, boom, no photo

Of course you're uninterested! An uppity minority DARING to speak as if she has a brain?! Doesn't she know that I speak for all of her kind?

I wholly disagree with the sentence/sentiment that our current conception of masculinity is diametrically opposed to being fetishized by straight women and loudly so. Ever watch Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Channing Tatum, Idris Elba, etc. being interviewed on a talk show? The screams and cat-calls from women are deafening

Imagine that...a White Liberal, who, when informed he/she is being condescending to minority communities digs in his/her heels further. 'Cuz White Liberals know what's best for everyone, standing on their self-righteous soap boxes. What would poor, illiterate, Brown disabled people do without your wisdom to guide

You actually used the phrase "poorly educated people of color with disabilities" in your comment. Like, for real. If you don't believe me scroll up.

Well, out of the 4 parents Kanye is the only one with any discernible talent. So I guess that makes NW higher up on the "heirarchy."
