Yeah this was what I was going to say. Janet fucking Van Dyne should be in the title.

“…but Hope’s character is in the title of the movie.”

Thanos attack: He sleep

Was gonna mention this. Janet being the original Wasp, the title still holds its meaning.

On the flip side, with so much focus on Kang and Janet, Hank and Hope have significantly dialed-back roles. That makes sense for Hank as he’s always been a supporting character, but Hope’s character is in the title of the movie.

Because they are not going to say we are kicking to Ezra to the curb before the movie comes out. For one thing Ezra’s crap has flown largely under the radar with the larger mainstream audience and saying they would be out would just draw attention to it.

I just chalk it up to Miller still having a movie coming out.  They still have a business relationship, so they don’t want to badmouth them.  Gunn is extremely noncommital without being rude, though.  “Let’s see what happens” indeed.

how do you even begin to entertain keeping Ezra Miller but your first order of business was showing Cavill the door?  I’ll never be convinced its anything other than Snyder made Superman kill in the first movie and Gunn and Co are intent on scrubbing that (which I think could have been done with Cavill but whatever)

I’m surprised you left out the creepiest part of the episode... the kiss.

As much as I enjoyed the movie I got, I still want to say F you cancer.

I REALLY wanted to love Wakanda Forever. You could tell how much passion there was by everyone involved. But I just couldn’t. The way they handled Bosemans loss was absolutely perfect. They allowed the audience to grieve Boseman without feeling like they were stepping out of the film itself.

Yeah, I was really rooting for Wakanda Forever, and I think it had its heart and ambition in the eight place, but it didn’t work for me. And that kid reveal in an overlong post-credit scene did not sit well with me. That was a bad decision.

It centers the whole story around the male heir. That undercuts the powerful narrative of the women of Wakanda, articulating that their only truly important role is mother.

Doesn’t this scene undercut the way in which the movie really centered the women of Wakanda? It’s kind of like, ‘ok, and now a man is going to be back at the center of the story - just gotta age him up a bit and all will be back to ‘normal’’.

If that is truly a thing that’s important to you, you’re even sadder than I initially thought.

Lazy worthless shit. You don’t deserve the gift of entertainment.

wait… so important emotional and thematic beats are left unfinished in the movie itself and only resolved in the after-credits scene? I know marvel fans like to think everyone stays after the credits but some folks know there’s always something after the credits and choose to skip it because they’re not comic book

Oh my fucking god. NO IT IS NOT THE BEST END CREDITS SCENE EVER. Everything about this mediocre series so endlessly overhyped. And the rage im going to get over this comment is gonna be an example of what i mean. And I like the movies, theyre ok-but if you dont heap mountains of praise on it people jump to all sorts

“Nakia’s story is completed in the credits.”
